The Carnival 2008

The 2008 Carnival had the theme of "Around the World". Held on Sunday 4th May 2009, it attracted large crowds for a day of energetic celebration binding all the cultures that York offers through the medium of dance, music and drama. There were several stages in the city centre hosting performances through the day and a very lively parade that spread the Carnival atmosphere to the entire city centre!
